UNIVERSAL is located in the city of Cuernavaca, better known as "The City of Eternal Spring." Cuernavaca, the capital of the state of Morelos, stretches across a beautiful green valley and, at about 4,950 feet above sea level, enjoys a lovely average year-round temperature of 70 to 80 degrees. Our state is also known for being the birthplace of Emiliano Zapata, beloved hero of the Mexican Revolution. Today in Morelos, one still encounters the progressive spirit that he inspired here, making our city a center that hosts a myriad of activists, writers, musicians, and a growing environmental movement. Cuernavaca and the surrounding area also boast impressive biodiversity, dramatic mountains, abundant and colorful vegetation, and striking examples of colonial architecture. Furthermore, the presence of indigenous peoples, primarily Nahuatl-speaking, enriches the cultural landscape and serves as testimony to Mexico’s great plurality.
